ABOUT SMOKY MOUNTAIN MUSTANG CLUB
The SMMC has been chartered by the Mustang Club of America to serve the East Tennessee region of Campbell County, Anderson County, Roane County and Morgan County. We are proud to have members from not only Jacksboro, Oak Ridge, Harriman, Clinton, LaFollette and Wartburg, but also Knoxville, Lenoir City, Cleveland, Maryville and Kodak, Tennessee. In addition, SMMC has members in Alabama, South Carolina, Colorado and Virginia.
SMMC is a strong supporter of charities, such as the Smoky Mountain Lions Charities, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital and the Second Harvest Food Bank. To raise money for these charities, SMMC schedules car shows. SMMC has an Annual Mustang and Ford Powered Show and Shine at Jerry Duncan Ford Lincoln in Harriman, TN. SMMC also holds a MCA Regional Show followed by a “Pony Run.”
SMMC strives to have Mustang related activities that appeal to all members. We recognize that not all members will want to do every activity, but we hope that with a variety of events all of the members will find a few that they enjoy. Click on the “Photos” tab at the top of the page for examples of SMMC activities in 2016. Our activities may span days or might only be a few hours. In 2017 we have plans for a multi-day trip to the MCA National Show in Pensacola, Florida, and a three hour volunteer session at Second Harvest Food Bank. Many of the SMMC members maintain and restore their own cars. Are you looking for a technical source to help you resolve an issue with your Mustang? There is probably an SMMC member that has been through the same problem and can tell you what works and what doesn’t. For those interested in entering shows at the National level, SMMC has members that can help you get started. Although SMMC is not a large club, five members are MCA Gold Card Judges and one member is an MCA Assistant National Head Judge. Do you want to spend time with people that have a passion for Mustangs? SMMC may just be the club for you!
